King has a way to make her words flow so smoothly, yet still gets across all the emotion you could ever hope for. I get so deeply swept away into her books and her worlds that my own world just melts away for awhile.Astrid was such a great character. She felt so completely real to me and I was so invested in her story and the outcome of her struggle. I kept sending her my love through this book just like she was those passengers, hoping that she got at least a satisfying ending, if not a happy one. Astrid was so funny that I was cackling the whole time I was reading it, and texting my brother some of her more funny quotes. The small sections were we get to peek in to the lives of the passengers on the planes were a fun little break between chapters. I really enjoyed watching Astrid's love and emotions make a slight or significant change in what was affecting them at that moment. The final passenger just left a huge smile on my face and I thought it was a great way to wrap up the book.Ask the Passengers was a beautiful, funny and powerful novel about love, friendship, finding yourself, family dynamics, acceptance, bullying, and more. Another A.S. King homerun for me. I recommend this book to everyone. In fact, as soon as I was done I was pushing it on my brother (who isn't even a reader). He's reading it now and already enjoying it!
